Win for Scott and Dibley at Auchenbrack

Having won the Galloway Gundogs Novice Spaniel Test held at Slipperfield two weeks ago, Chapel Farm Kennel-man Scott went one better on Sunday by winning the Open Spaniel class at the latest Galloway Gundogs Test, sponsored by Chapel Farm and held at Auchenbrack, near Tynron in Dumfriesshire.

On this occasion he won with cocker spaniel Buccleuch Curlew aka “Dibley” and following a run-off was placed third with his young cocker “Ellie”.

Well done Scott, good luck for the next one.

A Lovely Litter for Simon Goddard

We are delighted to receive the following e-mail from long-time client Simon Goddard.

“We started with training courses run by David, then bought the Training DVD, then a pup out of Buccleuch Lexie, then the Chapel Farm dog food and then we had these pups by Buccleuch Beata in February.
Just at the time the pups were ready to go on to solid food you announced the puppy food and we put our pups straight on to that. We are highly delighted with the progress of our pups, healthy and strong and growing like mad – very pleased all round. Regards Simon”

Our thanks to Simon for this glowing endorsement and photo showing some of the pups at play. Simon who is based in the Swindon area advises that at the time of writing there is some availability on the pups, to find out more give him a call on 07776 144443

New Chapel Farm Stockist for Lanarkshire

We are pleased to welcome Lanark based ScotLog owner Scott Haynes who is branching out into selling Chapel Farm Premium Dog Food. Scott already is well established locally supplying and delivering logs and briquettes in the Lanark area. We asked what prompted him to become a Chapel Farm stockist.

“I first heard about the dog food through my brother Kevin who highly recommends the food having fed his dogs Chapel Farm over the past two years. The results speak for themselves; Cairngryffe Gundogs are in great condition and have enjoyed success at Novice and Open Field Trials in Scotland. ScotLog are very excited to be Chapel Farm stockist which will be a great addition to the other quality products we already supply. For further information about Chapel Farm dog foods please feel free to call on 07894 431703 or e-mail: scotlog@hotmail.co.uk ”.

New Variety Added to the Chapel Farm Range

Puppy/Junior, the newest variety in the Chapel Farm Dog Food range developed by Buccleuch Gundogs Manager, David Lisett, is now available. Although very few changes have been made to the recipe since the project began over 2 years ago David was keen to have it trialed as much as possible to ensure it gave the expected results, and we are delighted to report that feedback has been better than we could have hoped for.

For Example:

John Halsted, winner 2015 IGL Retriever Championship. “We have tried other puppy foods but we feel Chapel Farm Puppy/Junior has given us the best results

Jon Bailey, winner 2014 ESS Championship. “Having fed puppies on other foods and raw diets, in my experience Chapel Farm Puppy/Junior is the best of them all

Stirling Charity Night a Huge Success

Chapel Farm Stockist Jim Fleming of Top Dog Training in Stirling organises an annual Awards Evening in November which is an event where funds are raised for local charities Strathcarron Hospice and PDSA Stirling.

We have had an update from Jim who advised that it had been a fantastic evening and that a magnificent TWO THOUSAND Pounds was raised. Chapel Farm are pleased to be associated with the evening as a minor sponsor but all credit must go to Jim for taking the time to organise a most popular and worthwhile evening. Photos of all the presentations can be viewed online at www.aileenstewart.com, just type “Awards Night” into the search bar then click on “Top Dog Training”. Our thanks for being allowed to use the photo above showing Jim on the left presenting one of the prizes.

Our congratulations to Jim and all who helped make the event a huge success.

Another Championship Qualification for Jon Bailey

Many congratulations to Chapel Farm sponsored handler Jon Bailey who will now be competing with two dogs at the Spaniel Championship in January.

As winner of the event last year Jon automatically qualified with Rheastmoar Fizzy to defend the title. Now following a win at the Scottish Field Trial Association’s Open Stake held at Bowhill, Jon has also qualified to compete with Churchview Chimes.

Well done Jon, we wish you all the best at the Championship.
