More Positive Feedback for Puppy/Junior

Chapel Farm  would like to offer our sincere thanks to Paul Challans for taking the time to send the e-mail below with the accompanying photo.

“Over the last several weeks we have had our pups on a trial of the puppy food from Chapel Farm .We have to say that the pups which we have reared on the food are in exceptional health. What we have noticed is that there has been a steady weight increase as one would hope for pups of this age .We have neither worried about too much or too little increase . Their overall health, demeanour and gloss is fantastic and we are extremely pleased with their energy levels. It is very rare to find a food which suits so well without any of the pitfalls which we so often encounter.

We have used the Chapel Farm food on our ESS puppies but have now started to feed the cocker pup on the food .The changeover was easy and there were no unsavoury reactions during this period .

This has certainly got to be one of the best puppy foods we have ever used and the price point is more than acceptable.

We wish Chapel Farm the very best with the puppy food and would not hesitate to recommend on the basis of our experience.

Best wishes to you all

Paul Challans

Queensberry Initiative Group Visits Chapel Farm

On what has become an annual event, 25 pupils and staff from the local Wallace Hall Academy visited the Chapel Farm Kennels yesterday. This was as part of the Queensberry Initiative which is a community charity project based here on Queensberry Estate to support pupils in making better connections with their local communities and increase employability skills by making use of resources on the estate.

Kennel-Man Scott and Head Keepers Son Fraser started by giving tours of the kennels where everyone tried their hand at the usual kennel duties such as feeding, cleaning, grooming and bathing the dogs. Afterwards the group moved outside where Scott and Fraser gave demonstrations showing the progression in training of gundogs from puppy to adult. This was greatly enjoyed despite the cool and damp conditions with our visitors agreeing they had been well entertained.

Great Weather and a Good Entry for Whitehill Test

We are grateful to Cammy Watt, Galloway Gundogs Chairman, for the results from the Chapel Farm sponsored test at Whitehill. This was held in glorious weather, so good in fact that the registration caravan was abandoned in favour of an open air setting. There were a total of 67 entries in the various classes and we are pleased to note that once again Kennel-man Scott continues his run of good luck and features in the line-up having handled his own cocker “Ellie” to first place in the Open Spaniel Class.

The picture, courtesy of James Carnochan, shows the winners of the six classes from left to right.
Kate Little – Retriever Puppy, Dale Clark – Novice Retriever, Christine Fox – Spaniel Puppy, Keith Brown – Open Retriever, Scott Esquierdo – Open Spaniels, Nathan Cross – Novice Spaniel.

Congratulations to all from Chapel Farm and best wishes for future events.

Supreme British Champion Lurcher, Fed on Chapel Farm

Our thanks to North Wales stockist Monty Williams for this update on the success enjoyed by his client Iwan Jones who was persuaded by Monty to move to Chapel Farm last year from a higher protein food.

“Iwan Jones from Bodedern Anglesey had a great show season in 2015 with his Lurcher (Patch). They won several shows throughout the country, qualifying for 3 Champion of Champion competitions. They were placed third in Chatsworth Champion of Champions show before going on to win the North Wales Champion of Champions show and the Countryman’s weekly Champion of Champions at the Weston Park Game Fair, beating 79 other show champions from all over the UK.

This qualified Patch for the Supreme British Champion competition at Peterborough where 10 of the Champion of Champion winners go head-to-head for the ultimate title of Supreme British Champion, with Patch taking the top prize by unanimous decision.

All of Iwan’s Lurchers are fed on Chapel Farm Beef Performance 24.

They have just started the 2016 show season, and true to form Patch is already picking up silverware.”

Thanks very much Monty for taking the time to send this excellent news item with photo showing Patch and trophies. Our congratulations to Iwan and Patch on their magnificent achievements and our best wishes for all future competition.

A Welcome to Craig Barratt of South Yorkshire

We are most grateful to new stockist Craig Barratt for the following testimonial.

“My name is Craig; I have been working and involved with dogs all of my life in some form or another, from having dogs as pets to working animals. I currently have 2 Cocker Spaniel dogs, 1 Cocker Spaniel bitch and an English Springer Spaniel bitch. Now as you can imagine this is a lot of dogs to feed and I have always been a firm believer of feeding my own dogs, all of which work in the field, the best food I can.I had been feeding all my dogs on a branded food until I came across Chapel Farm Dog Food, I changed over my oldest cocker spaniel dog to performance 20 food and I couldn’t believe in a week the difference not only in my dogs coat but the energy that he had to keep going drive after drive on a shoot. As a result of this I have now converted all my dogs over to Chapel Farm Dog Food and highly recommend it to anyone that I meet.

I was so impressed with this food within 3 weeks of getting it and using it I contacted the supplier, and asked to be an authorised re-seller to help spread the word about how good this food is and at the right price which we all know is important!

For me, there is no better food on the market at this price.

Craig, Ravenfield Gun Dogs”

Our thanks to Craig for the e-mail and also for the photo showing his Cocker spaniel, Hudson.

Following Puppy Food Trial, Paul Harper Changes to Chapel Farm.

Paul Harper of Redbeards Gundogs has many dogs in his kennels and it had been suggested by a friend that he might like to have a look at Chapel Farm. Initially he tried Chapel Farm Puppy/Junior on one of his litters and e-mailed this update over the weekend.

“After being on your puppy food for 4-5 weeks now, we would just like to let you know how very happy we are with this product. The puppies are all in excellent condition, alert, happy, healthy and full of life. We have no hesitation continuing to use this food with all our puppies now, and in the future. We will be recommending Chapel Farm Puppy to all our new puppy owners. We have also changed our main kennels to Chapel 24 and are very pleased with how well they are all doing on this food. Again we have no hesitation in recommending this food.”

We are most grateful to Paul for taking the time to write this excellent recommendation and also for sending the attached photo showing pups enjoying their meal.

A Welcome to New Southern Ireland Stockist Dan Currams

Say hello to new Co Offaly based Southern Ireland stockist, Dan Currams of Ballyfarrell Working Dogs. Dan explains below why he recently made the decision to join the team.

“I’ve always wanted the best for my dogs and was no different when it came to their food. I went looking for a high quality dog meal, made from natural ingredients, at a competitive price. It was then I came across Chapel Farm Dog Food. I feed my Irish Red Setter and English Springer Spaniel on Performance 24+ all year round and I cannot recommend it highly enough. My dogs are working really well, have lots of energy and their coats are shining. All my customers are extremely happy with it. David Lisett and his team have done an excellent job in developing this food and I am delighted to be one of their stockists.”
