Tallulah Has a Great Weekend at Sandringham Game Fair

Chapel Farm Sponsored Junior Handler Tallulah was competing at Sandringham Game Fair at the weekend.
Firstly on the Saturday in the Lintran Junior Challenge Finals with Willow where qualification had been achieved by winning various Scurry Bandits events at Living Heritage shows throughout the year. They did very well returning a fantastic score of 100/100 for first place.
The same day they picked up a first and second in two timed events followed later by a win in the Junior Novice Test run by Marshkeeper Gundogs.
On the Sunday they again won the Junior Test, had a third in the Victor Ludorum Final and two seconds and two thirds in the individual events.
Dad Phil also had a good weekend picking up a first in Saturday’s Novice Test with Fern, then borrowing Willow for a win in the Open. In addition he picked up a first, second and third in other events.
Phil reported that the dogs had performed very well with plenty of stamina which he put down to the Performance 24+ they are fed on.

Photo shows Phil, Tallulah, Fern and Willow with the fruits of their success.

A Top Quality Display from John Halsted

Chapel Farm Dog Food sponsors John Halsted and we are grateful to John for finding time in his busy schedule to provide demonstrations on both days of the Galloway Country Fair. John once again gave a fantastic performance and shared many training tips before, during, and after his main ring display which were very well received and will no doubt be used by many.

The photo shows John and his wife Nina with David sharing a quiet moment at the Chapel Farm Marquee before the gates opened on Sunday morning.

Well Done Melissa and Buddy on Promotion to Grade 5

We are very pleased to have received the following update from sponsored Agility Handler, Melissa MacRae:

“We were competing at Dundee Alsatian and Training Club’s Agility Show at the weekend which was held at Glamis Castle near Forfar (new venue for the show, an amazing setting!).
Buddy (my youngster) had a great weekend, winning his agility class on Saturday to take him up to Grade 5. To top off the weekend, he also won his class on the Sunday with a cracking run, winning by 8 seconds. Really pleased with his progress over the last 6 months, his confidence is coming on in leaps and bounds and his speed is increasing too, the Chapel Farm Performance 24+ certainly helps in that regard!!
Photo is of Bud looking proud with his winnings (toys were given instead of trophies which was a great idea!).”

Thanks Melissa for advising of this latest success and our best wishes for future competitions with Buddy and Lottie.

Gundog Competitions Very Popular at GCF

Chapel Farm was pleased to sponsor the gundog competitions at Galloway Country Fair by providing bags of Performance 24+ for the award winners of the scurry’s and working tests.
These competitions have proved increasingly popular year on year and attracted a high number of entries on both days.
However they could not have taken place without the efforts of the members of Galloway Gundogs who did a great job in organising and running these events and we are most grateful for all their hard work.

Nearly Time for Galloway Country Fair

Not long now until the Galloway Country Fair which takes place in the grounds of Drumlanrig Castle on the 18th and 19th of August.
This is a real day out for the whole family with wide ranging entertainment for all.
Dog owners are very well catered for with Tests, Scurries, a Lurcher and Terrier Show, and a Dog Show.
In the main arena we are delighted to note that once again Chapel Farm Sponsored gundog trainer John Halsted will be demonstrating his Champion Labradors. See how he not only won two Retriever Championships, but also became the only person to qualify five Retrievers in the same year for the prestigious event. John will also spend time in the Chapel Farm marquee after his display where he will be able to answer your queries on gundog training.
